Westville's Pictou County Military Heritage Museum
This museum is dedicated to preserving the history of Pictou County veterans in particular, but also of all veterans. Opened in the summer of 2006, visitors will find on display a host of military memorabilia dating back to the First World War. Artifacts include uniforms, rank badges, model planes, ships crests and numerous pictures from Pictou County’s military past. Visitors will find a series of Interpretive Panels as part of the Museum's walking tour. The museum is located at 2020 Queen Street.
One of the finest examples of reclaiming a former mining site is Acadia Park. One could not find a more beautiful park with its walking trails, children's playground and Miner's Memorial. The park offers an excellent place for visitors to the Town to come and picnic, relax, listen to music or walk on the trails and reflect upon nature.
